Dr. Luís César da Silva
Vita - Lattes/CNPq BREducation
03/1998 to 05/2002 - Ph. D., Agricultural Engineering
UFV & Kansas State University - KSU
Worked at the development of a mathematical model, which aims to simulate the dynamic of grain storage facilities. This model was structured for analyzing new projects, expansions, remodeling, and technological updates. At modeling process was employed the simulation language EXTEND. Part of this model was developed at Grain Science and Industry Department - Kansas State University - KSU (Advisors: Dr. Daniel Marçal de Queiroz, at UFV & Dr. Rolando A. Flores, at KSU).Click here to see thesis file.
The following courses were taken during the Ph.D. program: Agricultural System Engineering, Statistical Methods, Optimization (Operations Research) I and II, Biomass Energy, Project Evaluation, Automatic Control Systems, Analysis and Evaluation of Environment Impact.
06/1987 to 06/1990 - M.S., Agricultural Engineering - UFV
Worked on the development and evaluation of a counterflow coffee dryer. For evaluation was implemented a mathematical model using PASCAL language based on the Thompson's Model.
03/1981 to 07/1985 - B.S., Agricultural Engineering - UFV
